Mellor Parish Council is looking to employ a highly motivated individual to support the Parish Clerk with a view to assuming the role of Clerk /RFO (Responsible Finance Officer) after a period of induction and training. This is a part-time post with some flexibility on the working hours and the successful applicant will be expected to work mainly from home however it is essential that he/she will be able to travel to meetings using their own transport.
Ideally, the applicant should hold a Certificate in Local Council Administration or be prepared to undergo Council funded training to achieve this. If the successful candidate already has the required skill base, then the role can be readily expanded to cover many of the main duties currently provided by the Clerk. In return, we are offering a salary in accordance with the National salary scale for the National Association of Local Councils, based on the applicant's experience.
