Contract type: Permanent following 6 month probationary period Salary: L2 (points 18 £16.48 phr - 23 £19.11 phr)

Purpose of the Role The Deputy Town Clerk will support the Town Clerk and oversee some community initiatives in Westhoughton. This role includes assisting the Town Clerk with administrative functions, as well as developing and coordinating a programme to enhance community safety and security. This is a part - time post with some flexibility on the working hours and the successful applicant will be expected to work mainly from an office (currently in the Library). Attendance at some evening meetings and events at the weekends will be expected.
