CLOSED Clerk and RFO - Wennington Parish Council

Wennington Parish Council seeks an experienced Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer either holding, or willing to work towards, the CiLCA qualification. The appointment will start on 1 April 2022 and is a permanent contract.
Wennington is a rural parish of about 60 dwellings, mainly located around village greens and individual dwellings across North Lancashire on the border with North Yorkshire. The precept is a little more than £7,000 per annum.
The post is part-time, 2.5 hours per week, mainly from home, and flexible except for attendance at meetings held in Tatham Church. Ordinary Council meetings are every two months every third Monday.
Salary will be in accordance with National Joint Council (NJC) recommendations SCP 7 - 12 £10.44 - £11.53 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience. Travel expenses are available.
We need you to be familiar with Microsoft Office, and to be able to keep the website and the Parish Council noticeboard legal and updated. A laptop is supplied. Some office material will need to be stored at home. We have only one employee, the Clerk. The role is purely administrative.
Training has been budgeted for, to support the clerk in all the relevant aspects of local government administration.
