Penwortham Town Council is seeking a new Town Manager to lead all aspects of council business including the duties of the responsible finance officer (RFO).
The council is seeking a forward-thinking, enthusiastic, and proactive individual to take the Town Council into the next phase of development.
The post holder will build on the strong reputation of the council to deliver high-quality services and events including the management of Penwortham’s Community Centres, the Arts Centre, and Cemetery along with Penwortham Gala, Fireworks Display and Christmas Markets.
The post demands high levels of personal integrity and creative leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have experience as a clerk/deputy clerk, and RFO, as well as possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This is a ‘hands on’ role and you should have proven success in delivering a wide range of projects and services, experience of managing finances and staff, and being adept at partnership working.
