Treescapes Project
4th of July, 2024
Since late last summer, the Treescapes Project Team has been busy planting trees with several parish councils in our area.
We've planted micro forests on parish and town council land in Kirkham and Up Holland and community orchards in Mawdesley, Hilldale and Kirkham.
We've also carried out woodland planting with Catterall and Mawdesley Parish Councils.
We're also working up projects for other parishes with a view to planting next season, between November and March. All the work we completed was fully funded by grants that we sourced, with the only cost to parishes being volunteer labour, refreshments and the time spent working with us working up planting schemes and funding bids.
Now that the dust has settled on this year's planting, we're ready to start work on next season's planting, starting in November and would like to make contact with Lancashire Councils to let them know what we can offer parish and town councils, particularly as we've now got a track record of planting with parishes under our belts.
